Surgery approval - job cuts looming... PRAY FOR ME!!!

Hey everyone...

We had cuts to our program.... PLEASE pray for me that I'm not cut from my job. Insurance is a MUST because I have my approval & my tentative date!!!!

PLEASE HEAVENLY FATHER watch over my job security. This surgery will help my overall health & food addiction. Plus I can be a more active parent.

Is your surgery far off? I'm asking because depending on when your surgery is, you may still be covered because of when your coverage would officially end if you were to get laid-off.

Does your employer currently offer COBRA? If something happens and you loose your job you could just pay the premium until your surgery. Not sure how much that will cost but its an option. I will pray for you!!

I would even hold my breath, if I could and it would help. Here, we usually have about one more month of benefits after a layoff. You might check that out, too, just to be prepared. You also might try talking to the hospital/surgeon about your situation and possible earlier dates.

Can you put a rush on your surgery date? My group charges the full year of follow-up care on the surgery date- get it in before the lapse of coverage that way...

Tentative is August 30th.
Would be earlier but I'm still waiting to get in for the endoscopy.
Cover 2 weeks after lay off.
Cobra is way too costly.

I'm hoping prayers will hold off this dooming cloud!
