HELP What Can I Do -- Who Can I Turn To????
The best support you will get is right here, others around you probably just don't understand. We are here for you, and twenty six pounds is wonderful. Hubby might get a little better as time passes and realizes the hard work you have to put in this and hopefully he will turn supportive.
I have support all around me, my teenager thinks I am getting skinny and we can share the same clothes now which she couldnt wait for but she has so many clothes I don't need to buy any in her size. Hopefully she will get lots of new clothes when visiting her father do I can wear her old clothes.
Just try to not talk about your weight loss around the ones that are not supportive, eventually they will start to compliment you and come around, hopefully. Until then, or if they ask why you are not saying much around then just remind them of the negativity vibes you got from them before and only want positive thoughts.

Thank you. Yes, I see that just posting my problem brought so much help and support. I am grateful.
It sounds like fun to share clothes with your daughter. I can't do that -- my sons are almost a foot taller than I am and I really don't look good in Docker's pants and the alligator shirts..........Izod?? LOL LOL LOL I think I'll tell them I want to try it -- they'll think I've cracked up for sure!
Good idea about not mentioning this surgery around non-supportive people. Besides, other than when discussing it with others who are going through this, it probably get boring???
Just trying to keep my sense of humor honed............it's helpful for my sanity.
Thanks again for the ideas.

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how that must have felt. Sorry. I know he's your husband and all, but that was a pretty assholish thing to say!

Thank you so much. I have been tracking my nutrition on the tracker here, but I also joined MFP -- I will just need to get more active. I'll have to check what name I used LOL The old gray cells aren't what they used to be -- it's on a piece of paper here on my desk!
Eventually, I will find a way to either make him understand or "even the score" about his attitude. In the meantime, I try to find a little humor where I can and keep myself moving in the right direction.
I'll be sending you my name on MFP ASAP Thank you again

Thank you -- just typing it all out helped -- to get such wonderful responses made the day brighter for sure. And thanks about doing a good job -- I'm pleased and feel good about my progress so far.

Yes, those two are a couple of peas in a pod.
I think I failed to understand just how supportive the folks on this site are -- I see it clearly now and I'm appreciative.
Thanks about the losses -- that really helps keep me focused.

I am so sorry that you had to go through this today. What you have done this month is a tremendous accomplishment!
As for hubby..... I'm sure you've known this all along, but hoped somehow this time would be different. I'm sorry it's not, but, pull up the big girl britches and remember you're doing this for yourself. Your age and previous weight are unimportant today! What is important is what you are doing today and what you are accomplishing.
This journey is more than about losing weight. It is a journey if self discovery.
You are just starting to learn how important your own needs are. Sit with this. Savor it. Learn from what you already know about yourself. Be content to find yourself during this journey. Everything else will fall into place.
From your posts I get a sense of your kind and thoughtful (& witty) demeanor. I wish you the best and offer my support to you in any way I can.
