Hello Everyone!
I will post the information when I get home either tonight or tomorrow. Keep in mind I am almost 8 weeks out but my bestie said that she was using it on her other patients that had WLS and it was great. I tried taking Biotin but it nauseates me for whatever reason- UGH. Keep on shining you folks are beautiful with or without hair!!!!! Inside and out!
Take care,
Amanda

My stylist recommended the Nioxin line of products. She actually is against taking Biotin because she says it's a temporary stop gap and when you stop taking it your hair will do the same thing anyways. My salon specializes in working with cancer patients and has a sister shop upstairs called Wigs of Hope. I trust her experience in this, so I'm going with Nioxin (system 3 for me, but if you go to their website, they have a consult quiz that will tell you what system you should use).

I tried EVERYTHING these posters suggested and nothing worked for me. Then it just quit falling out on its own. I believe it is just time and eating more calories. My hair is as thick as it always was. I have been on these boards for several years and everyone's hair stops falling out.

This is encouraging I am hoping it's stops falling out before I am bald, big fear of going balded, I never noticed or should say paid any attention to women with thinning or bald spots until now. I am fast learning this is a big group of women... I truly pray and hope my hair comes back to it's regular fullness I had before. Thanks for posting this and thank you to everyone for your comments and support.

 Roxy,
My hair shedding/thinning has been really on the backburner for me, but I've had many periods of hair loss after surgeries and nutrition probs. I have not tried any products, just tried to stick with high proteins. Watch the edges of your hairline, I feel a ray of hope when I see the baby hairs coming in. My stylist said that's always a good sign that new hair is coming. Also, I know it's difficult but she also advises against any chemical treatments (color/foil/perm), flat irons, and even blow drying. If you must blow dry, they make some great products that you put on when hair is wet and it takes the heat from the blow dryer and steams your hair instead of frying it. (you will actually see steam when you are drying your hair). Also, she told me that most people don't realize that their irons have temp settings, so they are using them on the max setting and literally burning their hair off. I hope all this helps, and the hair will come back, watch for those baby hairs! :)

Thx Jules great advise.. I am lucky in that all i do is wash and comb out.. I use a little mouse and thats it, no blowing drying too humid and warm here just can't bring myself to do all that. I was just asking my hubby what he thought of my new color(gray) because I haven't dared to color it in past 6 months, I am way overdue. He told me not to worry about gray and so I am letting it go for now. I guess I really need to put it on the back burner too, as there is really nothing I can do but let nature take its course. Watching my hairline for fuzzy new hair.. nothing yet! I am 63 days PO so it's just falling out at this point.
