No, but I thought about home made prune juice pops though. I might try that. I know prune juice works!

This thread is getting icky, proceed at your own risk.

I just kinda thought that whatever it is that makes the Colace work and makes the muscles contract and move was somehow making my sleeve contract a little?

The only time that's ever happened to me was when I OD'd on Vitamin C. It was coming out of both ends simultaneously. Felt better when it was out though.

Hope you figure out this mystery.

straining to poo puts pressure on the vagal nerve which causes you to vomit. Pressure on the vagal nerve like this can also cause some people to faint of have a seizure.

I would seriously disregard the NUT"S advice and take my Miralax ev ery night!

Why ask for trouble? It is likely impossivle for you to get enough fiber from food with a sleeve especially if you are focusing on protein first, which you should be.

You are sooo right! Thanks for this explanation.... My NUT even suggested grounded flax seeds when I first started with constipation, that didn't work either. The miralax really does work, so glad its there to help me....
Thanks,Tee

Thank you for sharing this! I have been home only 3 days. I just had my 2nd bm and almost vomited. Now I'm nauseaous and praying. This is scary. I feel like crying. Vomiting is like your stomach landing on a grenade. Did you do this from the very beginning?

Hi, Please try really hard hot to vomit so much becuase ur early out. If you can resist the urge to do so try really hard...
My constipation issues started around 4-6 weeks post op. My biggest mistake was waiting too long to get medical advice for it and it got really uncomfortable...

I have had that same problem except I don't take Miralx, never have.  It seems the less constipated I am the more I vomit.  I don't usually take anything for my constipation until its been about 2 weeks.  The Dr. told me that not having a BM for a week is normal.  My Dr. also told me that he hasn't had any sleeve pt with that problem.  Glad I'm not the only one.  On August 30 it will be one year since my surgery I have lost 124 pounds and I am past my goal weight by 3 pounds.

That sucks... once you start to eat more stuff fibrous you shouldn't need miralax (hopefully) salad and stuff of the like makes me go like no ones business, and to duraine you should not be going more than three days without a bowel movement , you really dont want the waste to sit in your body for that long
