5 month update
Well, it's been 5 months since my surgery and I couldn't be happier. I feel great not lugging around that extra weight during this hot summer! I follow the plan that most do (600-800 cal, at least 80g of protein and carbs under 40) even though my nut and doctor didn't give those guidelines. I'm just taking the advice of the vets since they're the ones that really know. I started in a 3x top and size 20 jeans. Now I wear an XL top and I just bought a pair of shorts (first pair in 16yrs!)and capris in a 10 petite! I know those are vanity sizing but I don't give a **** I'm wearing a 10!!!!
Finding the motivation to exercise has been my biggest challenge. It's something that I've just never done before having surgery so now I try to exercise 4-5x a week. Usually it's the Walk At Home DVDs or Wii Just Dance 3. Occasionally, I'll even pull out an old Richard Simmons tape if I'm getting bored just so I keep doing something. Today I ran 15 min on the treadmill. Not all at once, I did intervals with walking but I ran! I've tried everything to get the pictures to post on here and even my 14yr who is very tech saavy couldn't do it either. We tried opening 2 windows, no luck. I uploaded to tinypic and tried to drag and/or copy from there, failed. I did manage to get them on my profile so if you want to see them, you have to go there to look. I can't believe how difficult it is to do this on this site!! Yes, I did see it. I also think the Olympics have also inspired me. I go in spurts. Sometimes, I am great with the cardio and other times, I slack off. I am maintaining, so I know how important exercise is, for continued success, so that is also motivating for me. I never want to go back to where I started from.

Oh my gosh! Look at you....you look so different already.....so much more content and soooo much younger! (How so many people younger with VSG is amazing to me!)
It's great that you're doing so well and that you chose to do what works for you. It's really paying off for you, as your pics prove.
I was NOT an exercise person prior to VSG - I avoided it at all costs. Now I think it's sort of a transfer addiction thing. I'm just really "proud" of folks who hate exercise but buckle down and do it anyway. Hats off to you for sticking to it even though it's not your favorite. The fact that you can run now at all is an amazing testament to the work and effort you are putting into your journey.
Congrats!

And a petite nontheless... petites are usually cut a little smaller than regular sizing. Just saying
