OK so week one on this diet I lost about 11pounds. Week 2 I have lost 1 and now the scale is not moving. Its making me mad because I haven't cheated once and my body is just being disagreeable. I haven't checked my weight today but I don't want to because I have a feeling I am stuck at 261. My goal was to be down 30 pounds total on surgery day and I am pretty sure that is not realistic. Oh well. I am going to keep at it but this is frustrating!!!

You will lose more on the first week because of the water that comes off. Stick with it and do what you gotta do. You're doing fine.

I only lost 7 in pre-op no cheating at all. Our bodies are all different.

I know the frustration,  I am on the pre op diet  also and lost 7.5 lbs the first week and now a few days into the 2nd week I have lost .1 lbs....    I know there has got to be a swoosh in here somewhere.  was hopeing to be down 20lbs wih this pre op diet.   my sister just had surgery on Monday and siad she lost like 6 lbs in a swoosh on the last day before surgery . ....  we shall see .  also I just started my cycle and I always gain duriing this time didnt gain any weight so I think that may be the weight I was suppose to loose.  well I can always hope right

A couple of things ....

I hardly lost anything on the pre-op, but I figured it was because I had already lost close to 20 lbs before that.  Looks like you may have lost before pre-op too.  (pre-pre-op??  haha)

One thing you will read about A LOT on this board is the scale not moving.  Do yourself a huge favor right now and read all you can about it.  Go back days, weeks, months, etc.  The scale is not our friend at times and you literally have to "step away from it."

We all totally get how frustrating it can be, but it will also be a challenge post-op as you hit peaks and valleys.  I prefer not to use the "stall" word, but I consider it to be our bodies re-adjusting.

For instance, I lost 12 lbs first week post-op.  Figured I was on my way to goal in a few months, right???  Wrong.  I stayed at that same weight for three more weeks.  And guess what?  I did actually survive.  Frustrating at times?  You bet.  But it's just the way it's gonna be.

If you're doing everything right, the success will manifest itself in soooo many ways.  And sounds like you're doing great!

Good luck!!

Just a stall! I stalled for 21 days after 1 week. I found that I broke my stall once I started hitting the 800 calorie mark as opposed to the 600 calorie mark. Trust me. I'm a spaz! And I broke out of it. After the 21 days the first week I lost like 7 pounds!!

Thank you all. I am realizing right now just how much I am going to need you guys through this journey. Right at this moment I am sitting in the anchor bar (the home of the buffalo wing) with my family and I am about to cry. This sucks. Wings were my thing before this because I am a buffalo girl. They are ordering my favorite thing and I am starving but sipping on an iced tea and trying not to cry. I kind of wish I didn't come but my brother and his girlfriend are in town and I felt like I needed to. Anyway. I just want this dinner to be over. I can do this... right?
