LOL Well, I"ll say, never say never!

My 2nd day in the hospital, I could have clear liquids, whi*****luded broth. I was brought chicken broth made on the hospital floor in their kitchenette. Well, it was ok since ANYthing would have been good, but it was salty and blech.

Later that eve, the dietician came in with the options for breakfast. I'd had the chicken broth twice by then. He told me the vegetable broth was FRESH MADE!!! by them in the kitchen, and the chicken or beef broth would be from packets. I ordered the veggie broth then, and I tell ya, that was soooooo good when I had it on my tray. I mean, I could tell it was fre**** wasn't salty, and I had every bit of it after a lot of sips.

So, ya just never know! I'd have never thought it would be good either!

Maybe try boiling some chicken and make homemade broth.  It will taste so much better than any packet would.  You can control the sodium good that way too!
