I always think hot or warm drinks help the most. Try some hot tea, camomile (sp?) is really nice and soothing. I am stocked up for next week!

Good luck, you can do this!!!

Sports drinks... powerade Zero, Sobe Lifewater, Arizona 1/2 ans 1/2 tea (arnold palmer).... go to 7-11 and get one and sip it slow in the car on the ride home.

Feels like you're doing something bad. Worked for me. I just graduated to purees. I was all clears for 19 days.

I call myself doing a dry run of a two week liquid plan to see if I can make it before my surgery. Now I am only on day one of course and it was rough. I was told that after 3 or 4 days its not so bad.

*yikes*

Someone suggested to me that Trader Joes sells different kinds of healthy soups that are approved. I'm sorry I didn't get a specific brand.

Mire,
It does get easier around day 4 (for me). The growling stops but the bowel sounds are loud LOL.

Every surgeon is so different, mine said no to soups. Only clear broths.

What about protein shakes? Are you drinking those?

Nope, they were not allowed on the preop liquid phase. After surgery, yes.

I'm telling you, 7-11. Walk real slow in front of the coolers in the back. You will find 50 different things you can have. I chose the Sobes and the Arizona teas in the big, colorful cans. Anything that looks so good can't possibly for someone who is FORCED to drink it!
