So my surgery was Tuesday. I have been on clears since and can start fulls whenever I feel brave enough. I think I am ready to try but not sure what to start with. Suggestions? Also I am thinking about making creamy cauliflower soup. Is that a good choice?

I would probably start with a protein shake, but that's just me.

I would too but they told me to wait a couple days because a shake could be rough on my stomach.

It's funny how all the surgeons/centers are different.  The hospital gave me protein drinks as meals when i was in there from the 2nd day and i was told to get the protein in first above all else.  Do what makes you comfortable and what you can handle.

I had very bad nausea and vomiting the first 2 days so that might be why they wanted me to wait on protein. My Stage 2 diet manual includes protein drinks from the first day of fulls so it sounds like maybe that was specific to me. I am just wondering if something goes down easier than other things.

Het SurgerySis,

I got 8oz of unsweetened almond milk, with Unjury unflavored protein and a tablespoon of sugar free fat free pudding mix. So far fo good. Good luck and be careful with lactose.
