I had my VSG on July 31st of this year by 4 or 5 hours after surgery I was up walking around without any help or holding onto the rails and by the next day I was going home and went shopping for 2 hours before I even went home. The more you walk the better it will be you have to remember this is going to be work and it's not easy it is going to take some time for you to start feeling like your old self again. It will be fine I lost 40 lbs in my first month and feel better and better everyday. When you post something weather your wanting to vent or really need some answers or just want to talk about your progress add details because no one is really sure what your talking about or how to help if you don't but if you need someone to talk to just add me to your friends and feel free to msg me anytime about anything and I will help in any way I can or if you just need someone to listen to you vent and not judge I am good at that to. Hold you head high hun it will get better.

1. you did it because it is the best treatment known for obesity and some of its co-morbidities which lead to death.

2. it cannot be undone. So now its all on you - you have to make it worth the pain of these few days post op.

3. the people here can support you a lot and make your post op recovery much easier - if you could just give a little more than the vomiting and crying icons.. you know.. a real post..

4. read point 1 again... several times.

Please try to slowly walk around just walk back and forth up and down your hallway.  We have a completely empty bedroom since our son moved out and I used that to do a couple of laps each day. I also said the same thing, "what in earth have I done to myself"?

I promise you by Halloween you will be searching for a costume to get your party on!!!

You did it to get off your meds, ride a roller coaster with your son, and live to see your son grow up!

Good luck to ya!  They say it gets better!  Hang in there!  Remember to make things easier for you!  If that means going out and buying whatever you need to make it easier!  If you don't have the money call a church and tell them the situation and I am sure they will accomadate you!  Take care!
