What is it about eggs?

I can handle them IN things, including my Egg Puff recipe, so I'll stick to those for now.
I hope I'll be able to manage them soon - I'm going to 2 retreats in the next few weeks and eggs are the only plan-friendly items on either breakfast menu. I think I'll be taking protein shakes with me.

I still have trouble with most dense proteins, to be honest. Eggs too. The only "eggception" is when I eat half of a Nancy's or Trader Joe's individual quiche. The eggs are whipped or beaten and incorporate some air, I believe... they're much lighter and fluffier and go down and sit much better for me. I don't eat the quiche crust where most of the calories are. Plus they taste pretty good.

Hey there, surgery buddy.
Hmm... I've been planning on making egg bites in my cupcake maker. Maybe I should look at quiche recipes instead. I'm planning on using wonton wrappers as the "crust."

I can eat eggs over easy, but not scrambled. I tried scrambled on my first day of soft foods and they hurt so bad going down. Tried again last week, same result. No problem with over easy, so I'm thinking it's the texture / consistency for me!

Don't feel bad, I just tried one scrambled egg with probably 1/8 cup of milk and ate really slowly.... I got it down and no problems! I don't remember if you saw my post a few weeks ago, but a hard boiled egg almost made me soooo sick! Still afraid to try that. I think you may have posted on my egg comment too:) It seems like a lot of people have a hard time getting them down too. If you make it at home, just add a lot of milk so it is super moist! Others suggested egg beaters but I have not yet bought them yet.

Over 3 years out, and scrambled eggs still sit like a ton of bricks in my stomach.
Egg casserole made with greek yogurt, breakfast meat and cheese works great, quiches, poached, hard boiled, fried, egg salad are all amazing options. BUT, scrambled eggs prepared at home or out at any eatery, and I'm in pain. So, I just avoid scrambled eggs.
Just about the only way I can tolerate them is with tons of cheese and salsa on them, and at that point, it's stupid to try to eat them because there is no taste of egg, just cheese and salsa.
