Low carb/calorie options at Starbucks??
I confess, I'm a sucker for Starbucks. But let's talk about treats. My philosophy is that every meal should be a treat, in the sense that I don't eat one single thing I don't really, really enjoy. Sometimes we think of this food thing as a diet, and that we're going to punish ourselves for being fat by eating tuna fish and celery sticks. Both of which I love, by the way, but you get my point.
I have mostly gone to making my own coffee drinks because I can use almond milk and really cut the calories. A Starbucks skinny latte is something I will have on my plan, but it's more like something I keep in my back pocket for social activities. I mean, I wouldn't go get one on my own very often (I'd probably rather eat 110-140 calories) but it's a good way to spend time with friends that lets me feel participatory and yummified at the same time.
I order the skinny mocha, because nothing I can make SF at home is as intensely chocolatey as their SF mocha syrup. If you are worried about caffeine, you can get it decaf. There are lots of carbs in milk, and I wish I could get it with almond milk instead of cow's milk, but that's what they sell.
Oh boy! Time for iced coffee!!

I could not agree with you more, Happy. This is exactly what I meant by "treat". I have actually never been really big on Starbucks, but they are all over on the medical campus where I work and once in awhile on a Friday, I want to be able to walk with the girls I work with and get one.
I am actually a bit of a coffee "snob", only using organic, fresh ground (preferably Charleston Roasters, but like a few others as well) coffee at home with organic half and half and previously agave nectar. I can't afford the agave carb-wise these days. I kinda hate the whole "Franken-food" artificial sweetener thing but have resigned myself to the fact that I will have to use it in moderation to pull off the low carb diet. I am going to buy a couple of the torani syrups and see how I like those in my beloved home brew.
I have abstained until now for the most part because I am still having problems getting in the 64oz of fluid per day and don't want to add any caffeine to the mix until I am confident that I am staying well hydrated. Decaf is not worth it to me. I find it inferior flavor-wise and would rather do without. I know, I'm a turd. LOL! Thanks as always for your input, Happy :0)

I generally have either iced or hot passion tea with SF vanilla syrup or a skinny London Fog or chai misto. My daughter prefers either an Americano misto with skim milk (9g protein, 90 calories) or coffee misto (same), or Americano with skim milk.
I think I'm going to try her Americano misto at knitting this Friday.

I'm not a carb counter, but I do try and stay away from sugar as much as possbile. Refined sugar, that is... I generally order a venti skinny (something). They have vanilla, caramel, cinnamon dolce, mocha and hazelnut syrups in sugar free. I really enjoy a skinny vanilla latte with a little cinnamon sprinkled in from their "toppings bar" or whatever you call it. I also enjoy the skinny mocha. I'm still fairly early out (7 weeks) and warm liquids still go down easier for me. I'm still not able to eat much so if I have a latte it is my breakfast- and fits in quite well with the rest of my day!
Since it is so hot outside now, I usually get a decaf iced americano with sf vanilla syrup. Sometimes I add a splash of non-fat milk, and sometimes I don't. Thier iced coffee isn't available in decaf, so this is the next best thing. Another dink that DH and I both like is a decaf skinny mocha, This is made with sf mocha and non-fat milk. If you order one hot, it is best to order it with no foam.
I keep hoping Starbucks will offer almond milk as well, but it would probably help if I asked about it incessantly...
If you're persistent, you can buy the SF mocha syrup Starbucks uses? SBucks won't sell it to you (they treat it like the seasonal flavors that way), but it shows up from time to time on Amazon or eBay.
I occasionally get a breakfast sandwich at SBucks and ditch the english muffin and eat half the egg / meat / cheese, but honestly, I suspect for me it's just courting trouble standing there in line in front of the goodies case. Those pastries know my name, and can be embarassingly loud!
I do go in occasionally for a tall dark roast with a SF syrup flavor (favorite of the moment is hazelnut) and either add half & half or add almond milk when I get back to the office.
I think Shelly (of the Eggface blog) gets the egg white / spinach wrap there sometimes.

As has been said, their SF mocha is the best!! I usually go anywhere from once to four times a week and get a grande skinny peppermint mocha! I swear it tasts just like christmas morning!! LOL, though I think that the starbucks I go to keeps their SF peppermint in stock just for me! Because any other starbucks I have been to tells me they only have it during the holidays!

Iced tea with splenda, especially the passion tea. I'm cold brewing Tazo passion tea here at home.
Cafe latter with skim milk.
If I am splurging, Very Berry Hibiscus refresher. This is my FAVORITE and it actually has less calories than many other options on the menu.
