Wishing you a safe journey and speedy recovery.

The first few days after any surgery are a bit rough, this is no different. I was free of any complications and yes it is the best thing I have done for me.

Take care

I'm 7 days post-op and for me, it has been a breeze!  I was off all pain meds in 2 days, no issues drinking, feeling great and down 7kgs (15 pounds) in the first week....not fluid weight as I had already lost 12kgs (26 pounds) pre-surgery, so past the just getting rid of fluids phase.

I cried all the way down to theatre, but was fine once it was all over.

Just get up as soon as you can and walk.  I was walking about every 2 hours.  The nurses we laughing at me!  A little bit of gas for the first few days, but nothing too painful.

So its not all horror stories.  I got lucky and have had an easy time post op.

Just think positive and you will be fine too :)

Best wishes to you as you begin your new life as a loser. I am 11 days out and each day does get better. The first few days were a bit rough for me, but I have a history of anesthesia issues. Just remember, walk, sip, rest, repeat.

pre-op here, so no advice on the actual surgery, but I did want to say good luck, and congratulations for having the wear withal (sp) to make it through all the requirements and pre-op to make it to this point.  You traveled a long road to get here, I hope your journey forward is productive and fruitful!  Best of luck and positive thoughts your way...

Thank you'll for all the advice and words of encouragement. It is amazing how bonded to people you can feel without knowing them but going or have gone through the same things to cement a good bond. It is surgery day! I am very excited for my new life. I will post when I am able to. Thanks again, my friends. I wish everyone a great day and to being the best "losers" that we can be.

Take a deep breath. Relax. Go to your "happy place". You will be fine. Yes, the beginning is rough, but it will be the best thing you ever do for yourself. Good luck!

Good luck, sending prayers, you will be great, and just remember even if the first couple days you feel a little yuck, it will get better and you'll be back to your new normal in no time. Keep your eye on the prize and check in when you can! I am 10 days behind you.....congrats on moving over to the losers bench! Hugs!
