For those who've had breast surgery....

I know that I will probably be one of those women who will need to have plastic surgery on my breast after my weight loss.  I've been researching this topic even before VSG because the girls...well...they are just sad and navigating way south.  However, my breast are important to me as far as foreplay goes and their sensitivity.  I have heard though, with surgery, you loose your sensitivity.  And quite frankly, I would be devastated.  What has been you're experience?

I had a breast reduction done about 10 years ago (long before I ever considered bariatric surgery) and one of the potential risks WAS loss of feeling.  I didn't care about that because as big as my breasts were there wasn't much feeling in them anyway, but I was VERY happy to find that not only did I not lose feeling, but I actually GAINED feeling.

I'm not sure if you're planning on just a lift or enhancements, but I would talk directly to a surgeon to see what the potential issues could be.

It can be very individual and it depends on what type of surgery you have. I had about 12 pounds of boob removed, which meant I had to have my whole nipple/aureole removed and repositioned. The sensitivity comes and goes. I'm 5 years out from that surgery.

I've wondered about this myself.  As you say, loss of sensitivity would be awful.  I'd rather be saggy than numb.  I guess you have to do the research, ask lots of questions, and hope for the best.

I had a lift after a previous weight loss and they still stand up straight.  I didn't lose sensitivity but it was something i kept reiterating to my PS. He was my boyfriend so he paid attention.

I have wondered since the surgery what would have happened if I'd lost it and i think i would have been OK with that.  it was hugely important to me but the BL is the surgery with the highest customer satisfaction and when i saw those things sitting up and compassing the world, i was in heaven.  when i wore a tank or a sundress without a bra i was in heaven.  the positives were huge. Huge.

The thing is no one will promise you and depending on how much you have to have removed, you may need to have  complete replacement, so I'd say it's one of those things you should spend your time getting ready for the possibility of sensitivity being gone, or living with the sag.

Seriously i think that if i had lost sensitivity the amount of fun I've had with them in the fornication arena would have been okay with me.

I had a breast reduction over a year ago. No loss of sensation and I just love them. Best decision ever.

I also had very large breasts. Removed one due to breast cancer and the other i had to have a reduction on. My aureole was removed and repositioned on the reduced breast but i have next to no feeling there. My understanding is that everyone is different and some have regained all feeling. I am 2 years out and i just love having the smaller breasts. What a difference after carrying those big boobs all these years. And bras (if i wear one) are way cheaper and prettier haha  Good luck

I guess it is definitely a case by case then.  I can only imagen what mine with look like when I reach goal.  They will be a deflated hot mess.  I am definitely going to do extensive research before I make a move.  Thanks for everyone's input!
