June Sleevers Check in
VSG on 06/14/12
My surgery was 6/14 and I'm down 42 lbs, that including pre op. I lost 3 weeks after surgery though due to being on IV nutrition. It was 3000 calories a day so I didn't lose during that time. My weight seems to be coming off quite slow. I was 184 this morning. I am feeling so much better and I've went from a size 20 to a 16. I still can't imagine what it's going to be like to be really skinny. I feel a bit impatient, like I want it to happen over night. My hair has just started falling out. Anyone else?
June 28th was my VSG date. I lost 37 pounds before surgery, and I have lost 39 pounds since. I now weigh 212. I started at size 22/24, and I am now in size 16 or XL shirts. I am so looking forward to Onederland! I am hoping to reach there by Thanksgiving at the latest.
I have had so much fun shopping thrift stores. I have found lots of beautiful clothes (Ralph Lauren, Bill Blass, Jones New York, Calvin Klein) at dirt cheap prices. I get compliments on my clothes and weight loss every day.
I am a teacher too, and find my hectic schedule makes it hard to have time to eat. I have a pretty limited diet right now of what goes down well and I like. I have tried to have a more varied diet, and found that food just doesn't have a great appeal for me now. So I stick with what works. I eat something or have a protein shake every three hours. My GERD has gotten worse since surgery, but I am hoping it will get better the more weight I lose.
The one area I haven't been doing well at is exercise. I just had no energy the first two months after surgery, and now that I have a ton of energy I am back at work and so busy. I know, there is still ways to get in the exercise. I need to start focusing there now.

Hello everyone I had surgery on June 27th, I love my sleeve. My starting weight was 296.6 and I lost 19 pre op surgery weight was 283.0 and today I am 226.6 I have went from a size 22-24 to a size 16 in jeans and xl to 1x top depending on the top. The first two months I dropped a lot and this last month I lost 11.2 for the month and I'm happy with that I didn't get much exercise in this month. I drink 100 or more oz's of water a day well water and decaf coffee. Eating good has not been a struggle for me because I am just not hungry so all my meals are planed and I weigh them out I'm never full just satisfied. Sometimes I'll have a cup that isn't decaf. My exercise so far has been walk away the pounds 2 mile or doing the treadmill walk/jog for 2 miles. I just joined curves for women so I'm excited about that. I will start there Oct 1st. My minimal goal as far as weight loss is at least 10lbs a month so far Ive been losing more then that monthly but I know the closer I get to goal it will slow down. Shopping reg sizes in the stores is so weird to me still but I love buying new clothes lol. Getting under the 220 mark and then the 200 mark will be a huge huge milestone for me. I haven't been under 200 since I had my daughter 12yrs ago! So far the sleeve has been the best thing for me I have more energy I can get things done and not just sit and think about getting them done. And not only am I happier my family is too!

Hi! June 21st surgery and I've lost 80 pounds! My scale has not been moving as much lately, but my inches are falling. I am in a 22 from 28 in pants and down to an XL or L, depending on the top. I feel great, I look great. I could not be happier! I try to make it to the gym 4 days a week, but family stress has made it difficult. Things are getting better and I made it 3 days this week! I recently joined myfitnesspal and have been more closely tracking my calories. Sad to say, I could probably be doing better. So I am committing to do better! Good luck, everyone!

I appear to be the slacker of the group. I started my pre-op diet at 270, had surgery at 263 and am currently 229. That's 41 since the start of my pre-op and 34 since surgery. Possibly I'm slower because I was maintaining 270 on about 15-1800 calories a day.
I still would do it over in a heartbeat. I'm down 2 sizes in everything, heck, even my shoes are too big now. I'm off my BP and pain meds and feel better than I have in at least 20 years.

June 25th VSG here!
Started at 360, now I am at 278 so -82 pounds
The road is still long, but it's going fast!
Lost 2 sizes already in clothes
I exer**** twice a week. Was going 4 times a week, but started being really weak, sick, it was horrible. All my 3 months blood tests are perfect, so the reason is : not eating enough.
So I am now working on eating more calories (carb, fat and proteins). My goal is 800 cal for now, and I make it like half of the days
Love my VSG love it!
