I havent had internet or i would've updated sooner! Surgery was great! I was an emotional wreck the morning of and almost said no. I cried the whole way being wheeled in. Next thing I know I woke up in recovery. The dr/staff and Bons Secours, NY was amazing!! I was sore, but that took a seat to the gas discomfort, and honestly, like everyone says, walk sip, rest! The nurses were amazed by how much I was walking the hospital halls. I really didn't need the pain meds. I think I prepared for the worst and it was nothing like I thought! When I went home i just kept at walking, then I'd go home and sleep. Get up and walk again! I was on clear liquids the first 5 days. Now I'm on protien shakes only til oct 15th. I'm not hungry at all, but when I'm around yummy food, my head knows I enjoy it so that's been a battle. I have little moments of being light headed, but it passes with water. If I drink the protien shakes too quick i feel ill, but overall I feel amazing! I actually down 18lbs this morning! The dr said that'll slow soon. So far the adventures been great!

Thanks for the heads up on what to expect! I have surgery in a few weeks and I'm getting to the point where nerves are setting in and I'm starting to freak out a little bit lol. I think I'm very well prepared as far as what I can expect, but it's always good to read others experiences. Glad you're doing well and I can't wait to be on the losers bench too!
