Shopping is a trip

Yesterday I spent the day at the mall.  I live in MN and it is getting REALLY cold fast.  Of course it doesn't help that I freeze most of the time anyways!  I was on a mission to get a new coat.  Actually a parka that went down to my knees to help keep me warm.  I got a black parka size medium!!!!!  And I had a sweater on underneath it.  But the REALLY crazy thing was I went to another store and found the same parka for $20 less and I tried it on.  I zipped it up and thought this feels a little snugger than the one I bought....took it off and it was a size small!!!!!!!!  Holy cow!  I haven't NEVER been able to fit a small ANYTHING!  I ended up keeping the size medium because I want to be able to wear big bulky sweaters under my coat but it is such a mind trip to actually fit into these sizes.  My husband told me my face lit up when I realized I had a small on!

So I am 4.5 months out and down 70 lbs....size 8 pants and medium tops!  CRAZY!

That is great and I am happy for you, but in about two months, you are going to wish you got the small.  :)   It's OK, it will still be there.  Enjoy the ride, it just keeps getting better and better.

Good point Elina!  Hmmmm maybe I should go back and exchange it.  It is hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I still have 20 lb to go and will end up and that size!

Cool! I am mostly wearing Larges but some XLs. I haven't tried on a coat or anything. More like T-shirts and such. It's very odd that I'm wearing clothes that actually hug my body instead of choosing clothes that hang and hide as I say lol.

Our stats are very similar. Keep up the good work!

I realized I have to buy completely new fall and winter clothes. I have nothing to wear. We're still wearing shorts in Jax, though. lol
