I know of the third week stall, but the second week?? the first week I lost 18lbs, now being 15 days out from surgery, i haven't lost a pound in  6 days. I have 3 protein drinks a day, which ends up being 50-60grms protein. What could I be doing wrong? I know I need to step up the fluid intake a little but I'm trying. how can i not be losing anything taking in 300 cal per day? unless my body is thinking its starving to death and holding onto fat? i was so happy to be doing so well at first, i'm a little frustrated at the moment

Kristen, you can stall at any time really.  As frustrating as it is, we usually just have to ride it out.  I lost 18 pounds before surgery and then lost 18 pounds in the 3 weeks after surgery and then bam!!!  3 week stall where I didn't lose anything until after week 6.  It's hard to not see the scale move when it was move quite rapidly for a while but your body just needs to readjust.  The scale will move again... it has to right???  It will...

You're body just went through a major trama...it's going to take a little bit of time to recover.  Liquids are also hugely important in weight loss - 64 oz is the minimum and to help weight loss along many vets recommend 100 oz.   The scale will move again.  If the scale stresses you out, you may want to stay off of it for a few days.  Take your measurements, gauge how clothes are fitting, etc.

You've got this.  Take a deep breath.

3 protein shakes at 50-60 grams? What type are you drinking?

Check your carb intake. And yes, stalls can happen at any time :(

You can really stall anytime it seems to be most common at around 3 weeks but don't worry it will not last long and 18 lbs in 1 week is awesome just stick to your plan everything will be fine.

I have stalled for 3 days now...(today is 2 weeks out) I was very worried and called my Dr.  I was told it could be any number of things, from the way I took my Synthroid (I was taking it crushed over pudding) to my cycle coming back (I have not had one in several years due to PCOS).  The NUT, Nurse and surgen just said to keep up excersize stay on plan with protein and drink...and that it WILL come off.
