Tomorrow will be my three month surgiversary!  Other than the extreme fatigue I experienced the first three weeks, this has been a pretty smooth journey.  I haven't had cravings or even been tempted to go off plan...UNTIL TODAY!

I was working two hours from home and dealing with major family drama over the phone.  I haven't been this stressed in a long time!  The first thing I thought of was cheesy, gooey, salty, carbs!  My thoughts were racing and all I could think of was bingeing on comfort food!  I was driving at the time, so I pulled over, closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths and decided to eat the beef jerky I'd packed in my purse!

Wow!  The old me would've NEVER made the good choice!  Very proud of myself!  And very thankful for my sleeve!

Excellent job! Very very impressed with this you have no idea. I just had to remove myself from being exposed to someone using stress as an excuse to eat whatever the heck they pleased. Great work! I know this must have been really hard. You did it!!

Hi Itz

I'm proud of you, too!  You did exactly what you should do -- and you planned ahead to have an acceptable snack in your purse!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with problems......that kind of stress does no one any good.  Sending wishes to you that this passes and you can get back to a less stressful time.

Keep up the good work...........you did everything right!

Ree

Thanks, Ree!  It's amazing how we learn to change our behavior / responses so quickly!
