I know the whole, 4-6 weeks of tiredness after surgery. I've been prepared. But  I want to start getting active after work (I work 730am-6pm and live 45 minutes from work) Everyday I have great intentions of getting home, going to the gym and at least doing the treadmill. I don't know if it's that it's colder and dark when I get home, or the recently post op effects, but I can't get myself there. I make myself dinner. Feed my pets and I'm in bed at 830 (I was never one to be in bed soo early!). I just want to sleep. Any suggestions?? i'm thinking of walking on my lunch

Now that you mention it, the walks on your lunch just might do you some good.  I find that I have more energy on days that I am active.  You are only 3 weeks post op so it's fine to take it easy right now.  In my opinion for now, walking is best.  I'd say go for it!!!

Listen to your body. If it says you are tired. Go to bed. If it says you can run a 5K - well don't listen to that **** either, because runners are just crazy.

Seriously, your body know what it needs.

In another month, after your doc says okay, you will be working out like a crazy woman.

Taking a few more weeks to heal and regain your strength won't stop the weight loss.

Yep!

The only way I would run is if someone strapped my boobs and belly up with cranes because I can't stand when my boobs hang and ***** slap my knees for 3 miles.

Well, I'm married to a runner, and I have to say, I think that form of activity is a little crazy. Just think of the joint damage??? I know he loves it, but I can't imagine why.
