noooooo energy after work (3 weeks post op)
Agree , listen to your body. The only complaint I had post-op was being tired. I had no pain, no nausea , etc. but was extremely tired. Blood count and other labs looked great. My surgeon said this was perfectly normal. I work very long days, physically and mentally stressful, I was in school , and caring for my mom on hospice. I didn't know what normal was. I started getting energy back at 3-4 months - not only have you been through major surgery but you are living on 500 calories. Start with walking and gradually increase to get your strenght back. I now go to the gym after a long work day and I sleep so much better after surgery. I also never was a person to go to bed early. It is o.k. to take it easy, take it slow and take care of yourself. exercise will come- rest, fluids and protein are priority. Good luck.
I was exactly the same as you when I was 3 weeks out. I longed to go walking in the evenings, but was just too lethargic/tired/lightheaded to do it. This continued until about two weeks ago (I'm eight weeks out from surgery) when my strength began to return.
Follow your doctor's food plan, drink your water, take your vitamins, and be patient with yourself. Your body will tell you when it is ready for exercise.
Best wishes on a great WL journey!
