Medicaid, Parkland Hospital and Gastric Sleeve

I have been waiting for years for Medicare to start paying for the sleeve. After examinations and an attempt to do the GBP Dr. Nick said the only surgery safe for me is the sleeve but he only accepts Medicare and I really wanted him to do it. I just discovered that medicaid will pay for it but I am wondering if Parkland Hospital does the surgery. If not can anyone recommend another doctor in Dallas that has the expertise or close to the expertise of Dr. Nick. I will soon be 63 and the time is running out for it to be done safely. Can anyone help?

I looked up Parkland for Bariatric Surgery under Medicare/Medicaid...it isn't listed :-(  may have to travel.

I know of Medicare tho w/ VSGrs have posted here havin Baylor do it...here's the list...in case the link doesn't work for you...enter TX in the "filter search" bar .......and see if they do VSG.

Check the list of potential surgeons...n see if those surgeons also do VSG. They will be the MOST experienced in tacklin Medicaid/Medicare approval ok..

There is an OH list of Medicaid/Medicare WLS surgeons ...oh evermind...well there used to be a STICKY at ALL state forums with the Medicaid/Medicare surgeon list....but I don't  see it  for TX...anymore wonderin if OH forgot about TX when they changed the format....closest is this post.
