Shortage of Pure Protein Chocolate Shakes (Sams Club)?

For the first time ever my local Sams did not have the Pure Protein chocolate shakes, and a relatively limited amount of vanilla.  Anyone heard if they are having production problems?

I haven't heard of this from Sam's Club since I don't shop there. I do get my Pure Protein at Target, they do have both the chocolate & the vanilla shakes in powder form & pre-made form. I have not have a problems with it at Target. I will keep an eye on it at Target if I get any problems with it with them. I hope Pure Protein won't discontinue the two or go out of business. I like Pure Protein.

I saw a lot of it in stock at Trader Joe's when I was there the other day. If Sams is like Costco, perhaps they are going through a periodic change in supplier - Costco used to have an EAS supplied protein powder that I liked (years ago,) and then they changed to someone else which was atrocious (took me months to get rid of that stuff, mixing it with other things to make it tolerable) and now Muscle Milk seems to be their favored vendor.

Does Sams carry a competing product as well (like the Premier shakes that people like) - perhaps the holiday season has squeezed out the shelfspace for the PP shakes and they will return in a month or so; Costco does that with the low sodium V8 juice that I use as my potassium supplement.

Is this a RTD shake? I haven't looked into this brand but what Don and I are using is by MuscleTech and is a powder. We have the chocolate and is delicious mixed with water or skim milk. We get it at Sam's and it has 25g of protein per 8 oz of water.

What you're describing is an issue we have with Sam's. Quite frequently, items are discontinued :(

I also noticed they only had about 4 boxes of the chocolate. I switched to vanilla but plan to buy one of each next trip! Maybe just more sleevers buying them?? oh do you mean the premier brand ??? just noticed that . sometimes I get Pure protein brand @ Target or Walmart never saw them @ my Sam's sorry bout that

OOPS!!!!  Totally meant the Premier Brand!!!!!!!!!!!  I did notice they now stock EAS 110 calorie, 17 gram protein RTD shakes.  No idea if those are any good and hate to buy a case of nasty.  

Do you mean Premier Protein at Sam's Club ??  My sam's doesn't sell Pure Protein in RTD.. just curious.. Last time I bought some about 3 weeks ago they were short on Chocolate.. I will have to check again this week when I am at Sam's again..

My Sam's was out of the chocolate starting two weeks ago. They've never had vanilla.

I have never tried the EAS  RTD before, but I think Walmart or GNC or Vitamin Shoppe sells them.. maybe you should try to look there before you buy a case of them that way you could try a 4 pack or something smaller and see if you like it first.. That is what I would do..

Duh, great suggestion.  I will try to track down a single serving before I risk a case of nasty.  Thanks for the replies all!
