Honestly, my experience is the same as the poster.  Things go in fine, just don't stay in fine.  More than anything though, I am finding that the speed at which I eat something will seriously affect how well I digest it.  Slower is SOOOO much better.

Could it be that 1/2 cup of gr beef, added to lettuce and cheese was just too much for your tummy to contain all at one time?  I still have high hopes of eating more normally and try about once or twice a month to eat more than the 2-3 oz my sleeve currently holds and let me tell you, I feel the same way! Its happened with chicken breast, cheese, and scrambled eggs.  I haven't tried ground beef but I don't like beef or pork.  Hmmm, glad you are feeling better, but to be safe, I would say chuck any left overs just in case the meat was bad :/

My guess would be it wasn't the ground beef as much as the amount. I would think that a half cup of ground beef would weigh at least 6 onces so maybe it was the amount you ate.  When you had a  1/4 of it left that feeling you got was probably your stomach telling you it surrenders .  indecision

Let me rephrase it was a half cup total. I never ever eat without measuring my food. I lost 200 pounds in 9 months so I think the way and amount that I eat is good and not the cause of this problem. The weight of my ground beef was a mere 1.6 ounces the cheese was a tablespoon of shredded cheddar and it was one small leaf of Boston lettuce. It was all topped with 1/2 tablespoon of salsa. Hardly too much food so nope not the culprit.

Oh no! I love ground beef. My nemisis is roast and tuna. Everything else is just fine. It doesnt matter how moist roast is.. I end up being uncomfortable and it sits right at the top of my throat just waiting to come back up. I was never a big tuna eater before but I sure want it now. Every month I give it a try. Finally at 7 months out, I can eat it but only if it is mixed with some mayo. Try ground beef next month. I put a tiny bit of manwich mix in it or I pour a tiny bit of V8 juice and a tsp of salsa in it to add moisture. I am a low carber and even with that stuff in there it only adds a couple of carbs, if that is important to you. Good luck!

I get the same reaction to bread. It's awful. I've tried maybe 3 times, various types of bread, since surgery six months ago and it never goes well. I don't think I'll try again until I'm over a year out. It's weird how our bodies react to things. I don't even miss bread anymore.
