Stick a fork in me

Thank you!  I thought I recognized you, but then I thought it would be weird if I yelled out "Sleevegirl!" I was the one in the waiting room with the adorable toddler in a sweater dress and leggings.  I actually don't usually mind blunt honesty, and he's really never rubbed me the wrong way.  I also didn't choose him because of his kindness or enthusiasm.  I chose him because he was so honest with me from the very start, and I trusted in him because of that.  When I almost started crying, and he did try to back peddle a bit.  I do appreciate constructive criticism, and I know I need to try to find a way to get more calories in since I'm only about 500 a day.  It can't hurt to try what he has to say, regardless.  Who doesn't want to lose weight faster?  He just popped my balloon so to speak.  I'm still really proud of myself, 4-5 lbs behind or not. 

I would LOVE to meet you!  I will send you a PM.  I haven't been to a meeting, but I've been considering going.  I did group therapy for awhile and enjoyed it, and support groups seem similar :)  I'm all about being the best person I can be.

LOL! Next time, yell at me! (Candy will do, although I answer to almost anything). I'm trying to place you, you must have been there while I was checking out. Darn it :(

And yes, that's why I chose him too. He's a "no bull****" doctor, for sure. But I know EXACTLY how you feel. You'll be behind for six months. I swear, you could drop 90 pounds in a week and he'd still be "well, I'd like for you to be...." *laughing*

Today was a great appointment for me, but I'm at my "goal" weight (well, close enough) to where I wanted to be, we've decided I can probably lose another 25 though - I brought it up and I know him... he will be holding me to it. *laughing*

I don't get some people for reals ... yes, let's go back and STICK it to the doc ... & I don't mean that in a good way, lol!!!

I have lost 52.2 at 8 weeks. I didnt have to do a pre-op diet. My starting weight was 462. Based on your weight and weight loss percentage, your Doc would call me a failure.

Nah,u don't need any of those things. You just need to keep rocking your sleeve and take what advice you can use from asswipe surgeon and flush the rest. Just sayin...

Thank you, everyone!  Your replies me so much to me.  I very much enjoy how supportive and buttkicking this group is.   I hate feeling deflated.  I've been trying to be so positive, and it's hard feeling like I'm failing.  That's my own head stuff, though.  He was just relating stats.
