Me too! I am day 2 post op and can only manage very little sips. The anti nausea meds made me feel worse so I stopped taking them. I haven't thrown up since.

Take it easy. It has to get better, right?

I'm surprised there want a program right in Binghamton.

I am on to a shake now but it is VERY slow going. If I get 2 shakes in me then I can go home. Seems like a lofty goal.

sip. wait. sip. wait. repeat.

You are going for 1 ounce every 10 minutes. Do that for 10-11 hours and you will have gotten in all of your water/fluids. Check with your doc, but for me, during the liquid stage, I was allowed to include protein drinks as part of my fluids.

Set a timer for every ten minutes. I have a cool timer app on my phone. Take the ENTIRE 10 minutes to drink the 1 ounce of water.

Even if you don't make it to 64 ounces at first, getting into the habit is a good thing.

Water/fluids are your friend. Dehydration is bad.

Good luck.
