Happy Chanukah Everyone.........and the Green Mystery Sweater!
Happy Chanukah Everyone!
What a wonderful Holiday! Sadly, no latkes for me this year, but I won't risk making and eating them. But the dreidl is out and the menorah is being lit as it should be. One can celebrate ALL Holidays, no matter race, religion, or any other labels we put on others and ourselves. Let's just rejoice in it all and share the love and warmth that is available to anyone who seeks it.
As to the other part of the "title" of this post, I believe I have finally put a pic of it on my profile -- I haven't figured out how to post a pic in the body of a message yet. This is the sweater I found while going through one of the closets and STILL have NO CLUE where it came from..............so for now, I'm giving credit to the sweater fairies who roam the world trying to drive senior citizens crazy!
Yes, I know the hat doesn't go with the sweater.........some parts of me aren't going to see the light of day in pix here -- the hair issue is BAD. However, I would probably have worn the hat anyway as it is one of four I bought for my cruise in January and I'm getting a little squirrely doing way too many projects in way to little time and I just wanted to do something FUN. I never claimed to be fashionable LOL
Have a WONDERFUL day!!
Hugs,
Ree
Thank you Elina! The sweater wasn't lost..........the story of the sweater is in my 5 months surgy post. It just suddenly appeared out of nowhere -- I would never have bought a sweater in such a small size (small in comparison to what I was wearing pre-op) and I know no one bought it for me because I am so hard to fit that people just don't buy me clothes. It was packed away with "hope to fit in someday" clothes. Still, it was NOT a size or style I would have bought. Anyway, in that same post, I talked a little about miracles...........and sweater fairies LOL
You know, it's possible sweater fairies are real.........you lost one and I gained a sweater from who knows where! Something we should investigate! LOL
Thank you for the kind words. I'm learning to like that sweater LOL I haven't worn a 1X in over 35 years!
Yes, we should celebrate ALL the Holidays -- instead of fighting over who is "right" and which dogma to follow, let's find common ground and love each other. Yep, I'm an old flower child from the 60s and I hope I never change my attitude!
You're doing well yourself! Keep up the good work!
Elise, you are just too sweet! How did you do that? I've read myself into a coma all the directions on how to post pix in the post body. Every single time I try, I get a a square with a little red x in the upper left corner! I'm a dork........I admit it.........but a dork who can learn.........any guidance???
How are you feeling Hon? I know this has been a horrific experience for you -- well, I don't really know -- I can only try to guess how awful this has been. You know that if I had a magic wand, I'd cure you NOW. You enrich my life with your sunny disposition in the face of you having to deal with a big old load of CRAP. And you STILL lose weight and you STILL post on MFP and you are just one of the BEST inspirations around!
((((( Elise )))) Have a great week xoxox
Ree
Aww, Ree that is really sweet of you, thanks! ((((((((hugs)))))))) right back at ya!
The medical stuff is really throwing me right now, I'm still on the steroids, the new treatment isn't working yet so I'm at the hospital just about daily for platelet infusions... It's a long story but I really appreciate all your kindness and support!
To post pics, I open a new window to my profile page, and literally just click and drag the picture into the body of the post, HTH! I hope you are your family are doing well!
Elise
OOOOOOHHHH Thank You My Little Tesoro! I'm going to try that and hope I can do it! xoxox Now I just need another pic I'm not too embarrassed to post LOL
