Sleeved & Home

Hi Sarah!  I'm relatively new as well. Just had my sleeve 11/28/12.  I've love 31lbs already.  And yes it is difficult to fit in that much liquid and protein when you can only take two or three bites of something.  I found some protein supplements at walmart in different flavors, they had 24 grams of protein in each bottle.  I hated  the whey protein.  I also had trouble distinguishing if I was hungry or just not used to how my stomach felt now.  Let's keep in touch.

Congrats!!!!  I had a shot glass by my side table at all times and drank an oz every 10-15 min.  I counted my shakes as liquid in the beginning as well...just keep sipping and you'll get there in no time.  You will do great!  Follow the plan and do not be scared to ask questions!  Gabriella and Dr. C are very responsive and will help you with whatever you need!

Sleeved and Home as well. Has my surgery 12/27 at 8:30am came home 12/28 around 2pm. Everything went fine. These gas pains are no joke. I'm struggling with my liquids. My surgeon said to keep pluggin away and I will get there. He also said with the amount of IV fluids they give you, your okay for a few days post op. Just scared i'm going to get dehydrated. My pain has been pretty managable only taking pain meds at night to help me sleep. Today I actually stayed awake all day, no naps. I did spike a fever in the hospital but it quickly went down. I had a little nausea especially from the liquid pain meds but that is getting better. I'm taking it one day at a time. What I am happy to report is that my husband did take me to the hospital and has been by my side ever since. So maybe this will bring us back together, only time will tell.
