Cookies and cream powder + banana= Not half bad

I had some cookies and cream flavored protein powder left over from my pre-op phase. A friend of mine told me to add some banana to it and it really wasn't bad. I think if I just go back and forth between the powder and premade, I should do ok. I'm also looking at some really interesting recipes (Homemade protein bars), that could use either flavored or unflavored.

The shakes DO count as fluids and not foods, right?

I count my protein shakes towards fluids. Wow, I am liking the idea of a cookies & cream banana shake. I love these concoctions!!! I also love mint cookie protein shakes with PB2. Gotta love it!!

The mint cookie protein powder is from Syntrax Matrix & yummy as heck! The PB2 is powdered peanut butter & is awesome! Tastes great in a chocolate shake too... Sort of like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup !

I've heard of them before, is that an online store? We have PB2 in our commissary, so I at least know where to find THAT! hahaha

Ask you NUT about whether your shakes count as fluids.  As weird as it seems, different plans count them differently.  My plan does not count shakes toward fluids.

Just a reminder -

A medium banana (about 118 grams, about 7") is adding 27 grams of carbs and 105 calories. 

And of the 27g of carbs, 14g are straight-up sugar.
