Finally have a few minutes for an update

I have a few minutes from the chaos that is life. :) We went on our first long walk yesterday. I think I pulled a muscle in my leg, but I'm still trekking onward! I also went to my first post-op support group meeting. They had some great information about emotional eating. All in all, it was a good time. My friend and I had a blast giving information to some pre-ops as well as talking with our NUT. I'm looking forward to the next few meetings. Next month, we'll be discussing fitness. In March, we'll be having a bariatric friendly potluck. (I can't wait to share recipes!)

The NUT said that I am right on track. He said for my height, I AM getting the right amount of proteins in, but he wants me to get some unflavored powder to mix into my foods. I am now down to 203 from my pre-op weight of 238. I will take it!! lol He also told me that my "dream goal" of 150lbs is completely doable. The doctors told me to expect no lower than 165. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming! haha

We're still getting things worked out as far as my stepson goes. We're prepping ourselves with psychiatrists, books, and community services to make sure that we will have all the support we need to get him the help that he deserves. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts everyone. They're making a huge difference. :D
