NSV with sleep

Hi. My name is Laura, and I was a snorer. (Yay for meeting style introductions! lol) It was BAD. Worse than I like to admit. I am 27 years old and I'd snore worse than my husband most nights. (Not to mention drooling.) I'd often wake up choking because of my snoring. I don't know if that's considered sleep apnea or just one of those things that comes with it.

I decided to take a nap when midget #2 took a nap today. When I woke up, I had asked my husband if my snoring had bothered him. (He had woken up earlier, but stayed with me for comfort since I have a hard time sleeping when he's on night shifts.) He told me that I WASN'T snoring or drooling at all. He said that he hasn't noticed my snoring in almost a month. (His shifts change from days to nights every other month.)

This is HUGE for me! It was a major embarrassment to have someone come over or go sleep over with friends and end up sawing more logs than a lumberjack. I seriously believe this surgery is doing more for me than I could have imagined.

I think I shall name my sleeve. I shall name him Bob, like smiling Bob from the happy pill commercials. I can't get that cheesy grin off of my face. kiss

That's a GREAT NSV! Congratulations!

I lost my snore along the way too, and don't miss it in the least. Now if only my husband would lose his...

My sleeve is Fred. Nice to meet you, Bob.

It sounds to me like you had sleep apnea, for sure. Mine seems to be slowly improving and I have hopes it will get to the point where I don't need the CPAP machine to treat it.

Congrats on the NSV and my sleeve's name is Bobo, nice to meet you Bob and Fred.
