I didn't know crying would be so painful

My mom called to tell me that my cat had been carried off by coyotes. This cat was my BABY. I got her after I had my first miscarriage 11 years ago. She said that they heard them fighting outside and they couldn't find her. I got off the phone and just bawled. I literally felt sick. I would take a breath and burp, take another breath and burp. It was really painful. About 45 minutes later, they found her alive. She apparently had found a way to hide under their trailer deep inside the insulation and was too afraid to come out for most of the day. I ended up bawling from being happy. Again, lots and lots of gas and burping. It's been a rollercoaster today. I'm just glad she's ok. She's using those 9 lives to her advantage.

Awww!! I'm so happy! I seriously was going to stop reading once I saw you say she was carried off - so glad I read the rest of it. My heart was breaking. Thank heavens she's safe.!!!!!

Oh my god, I am SO glad that your kitty is ok!  As you can probably tell by my screen name, I am cat lover and have two of my own that are like children to me.  I would totally be bawling the same way you are. Such a scary thing to go through.

I have cried since surgery and didn't really have any issue with my stomach or gas but maybe I didn't cry as hard as you did.  Try to calm down and relax knowing that she is fine.  SO happy that everything turned out ok. BREATHE!!!! :-)

So glad all is well!  We lost our house cat of 13 years for 3 weeks.  She showed up stick and bones but alive.  It almost killed my DH when we lost her.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Thanks y'all! Like I said, she was my baby. I got her before she was supposed to be weaned. She was a troubled kitten that fit in the palm of my hand. After I got the second call, I was able to relax. Took a niiiiiiice hot bath. lol

This especially touched me because I had to put down my cat this past November.  She was 20 years old.  I'd gotten her when I was 27 years old...kind of grew up with her in my life..my daugther was 3 1/2 yrs old when we got her..so the two of us were in the vets office, bawling our eyes out.  So, sad.  I'm so GLAD that you're story turned out so much better.  As for your crying hurting..that is definitely a new one for me (I'm not sleeved yet) I've never heard that on here before.  What does anyone else have to say about that?

I know that it was from sucking in so much air. Like I said, I was BAWLING. It kind of goes to the same effect of drinking through a straw. They tell us not to because of air getting into our sleeves.

Definitely! Well, at least during the nights. My brother has terrible allergies to EVERYTHING, so she would have to stay in my mom's room, but they're willing. My step dad didn't want me to have the cat when I got her. (I was 16.) He was about to have a heart attack because she became his buddy. They sit and read the newspaper together in the mornings. lol

Awww... I had three, last one was 18 and had to put him to sleep a year ago, broke my heart! I have asthma in part cause of cat allergies duscovered after I'd gotten them, so I get it. No more cats for me but I love them!!

maybe you need to build him a coyete proof shelter he can get to

but sounds like smart kitty found one himself! How terrifying! Glad

It had a happy  ending!
