Bruising?

Does anyone else bruise really easily now? I have huge bruises on my thighs, collar bones, buttocks, and my back where my shoulder blades are. I have NO CLUE where they've come from! I'm not exactly graceful, but with how much these suckers hurt, you'd think I'd remember taking a tumble down the stairs or hitting myself. no

You are probably low on iron. I bruise very easily and am anemic. I have to take iron every day and for a while I had to take it twice a day.

Makes sense. I STILL haven't seen my doctor or even had my first round of blood work post op. I have another 2 weeks of waiting to see what my levels are. Might need to bump up my iron before then.

Yes. My legs regularly look like my husband has been beating me, and for the most part I have no idea where the bruises come from. I'm 18+ months out and my blood work has always been stellar. The most likely explanation that I've heard is that our our blood vessels are used to having the large amount of subcutaneous padding that has, for the most part, disappeared. They aren't as resiliant or as deep under the skin as the vessels of someone who's always been a normal weight.
