Happy Mardi Gras!

Happy Mardi Gras. My family and I are about to go do this Mardi Gras old cajun style.

Wow small world, I'm from Kinder! hahaha I wish I was back home for the parades. So far, no cravings for some King Cake. :)

I lived in Kinder most of my life. Graduated from Kinder and now teach there. Small world.

That's where a majority of my family is now. I moved to TX before graduation and now the military moves us around. I still talk to some of my teachers out there. We went home for Christmas, and I couldn't believe how much had changed!

Yea, with the casino it has grown alot. I use to know everyone in that town and now even as a teacher I really don't know alot of kids or their parents. I moved to Elton to get away from all the traffic and other things the casino brought in. Think raising my kids in the country is better than anything right now.

Oh I know what you mean! My mom and brother moved out to Reeves so they could get away from it all. I still see my classmates and their families, but more often than not, it's like a whole different place.

What is Kings Cake ?

King Cake is a cake that is made up of 3 "rolls" of batter that are braided. Some are filled with different things like cream cheese, fruit fillings, etc. It's iced and decorated in the Mardi Gras colors. There is a plastic baby inside of it somewhere. The person who gets the baby brings the next King Cake to the next party/gathering. Sooooo good and soooooo evil. LOL

That dose sound very yummy !! We just gorge on Paczi ....but not this year !!
