Matthew 6:24-27 (NIV) Do Not Worry 6:25-33pp—Lk 12:22-31[25] “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? [26] Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  [27] Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ?STOP Insanity

Thanks for this.

that was nice to 'hear'.  I have so much stress in my life and I think I was a worrier even as a kid, so it's second nature to  me.  I don't even think about how much I worry until I feel the pain from my clenching my jaw. lol   One of the sayings that I'd heard or rather I think I first saw it on a bumper sticker of all places..."Let Go, Let God"...that little saying helps remind me to breathe..take a deep breath, let it out slowly and feel the tension, worry and fear flow out into the universe and when I breathe back in, I try to breathe back in the light of God ( might sound strange, but when I'm real stressed like that, I close my eyes and actually envision the 'light' of God flowing into me) and I let all my muscles relax.  It doesn't always last very long, but it's a moment of no insanity. I have to do that several times a day..sometimes more, but it's freeing. :)

Joyce Meyer says, " Ask God to remove anything in your life that is taking the place that belongs to Him".

I also think of my trying to leave the food, when I have Surgery on Thursday...this quote is sticking with me:

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

- Isaiah 43:18-19, King James Version (KJV)
