This pureed phase really sucks out loud!!
I am a picky eater...so this has been the most difficult phase for me by far. I tried a recipe that everyone suggested during this phase with pasta sauce and cheeses, it made me sick. the pasta sauce was too acidic. i thought i was dying. there is no way i'm blending meat, eeewwweee.....i hate tuna too...i hate fish...barf / gag
is anyone else like me? if so what the heck did you do during this phase? I've only got 4 days left so i guess i should stop complaining right?

I was using canned chicken blended with some chicken broth in a blender, tuna blended with mayo, turkey chili (cooked ground turkey blended with chili sauce and some melted lf cheese) laughing cow cheese wedges, sf pudding w protein powder, I was allowed to eat any soup so I got low fat low carb lentil soups... it will get better when you can eat solid food. Good luck!
i love the laughing cow lite cheese wedges, I melt them on everything. I poach my chicken breast, with chicken broth or even salsa and then puree it. It is not bad at all. I eat a lot of soups and I have pureed some veggies that are god when I feel hungry. I am on this phase for at least two more weeks and I am a little nervous to go to the next phase, soft foods. Hoping I remember to chew a lot and eat slowly!! Good luck!

Lots of the foods I relied on then have already been mentioned: canned chicken, cottage cheese, the LC reduced-fat wedges, hard-boiled eggs mixed with a small amount of mayo, applesauce.
I know what you mean about tuna. I completely lost my appetite for tuna during pureeds and won't touch it or shrimp now. Maybe someday. Couldn't touch Greek yogurt then, either, but now it's a favorite, especially with some Torani sugar-free syrup mixed in for flavor.
Hang in there! It gets better!
Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't had my surgery yet but I was wondering what I would eat during this phase as well because I am so picky. The thought of blending meat makes me gag. I'm interested to see what some will say so I can have ideas myself. I don't even like cottage cheese but am willing to try it again after the surgery since taste does change.
so far i've stuck with thick soups, like broccoli cheese (w/out broccoli pieces) low fat refried beans with sour cream and cheese, scrambled eggs and then everything i could ear during the prior phase. I know it's a short period of time and really I'm afraid to switch to regular food next tuesday so I've decided I'm going to embrace these last few days of this phase like a trooper!!
