Yes, I have and so have many others on this forum.  I suggest doing a forum search to find posts about it.  There are many of us!

I had my lap band removed a year ago on Feb. 28th. I had to wait for two things for the sleeve. Medicare to approve it which they did in stages of the US and a few weeks ago for California ( I personally did not want RNY Gastric Bypass) and then a year from Feb. 28th per my physician because of scar tissue. So all my work is done, the paperwork is being turned into Medicare and should get my date in a couple of weeks.  Hip Hip Hooray.. My sister had her sleeve 3 weeks ago, so we will be together on the losing bench :)

I had a lapband sine June 07 and had it revised to the vsg Jan 28th. I highly recommend it. I feel so normal its scary. I can't even begin to explain. I had so many probs with the band. Not at first then it was nothing but yoyo-ing and then just gaining. I told my surgeon how great I feel at my 2 week post op. I told him I was scared I didn't have restriction because I felt "normal". He assured me that I do have restriction. Good luck to you in your choices! It's great!
