For the Coffee Lovers
I do appreciate the video though because it is making me think about my coffee addiction. I have been taking baby steps to not drink it as often but I'm not sure if that will be short lived.

I was most of the way to forgetting about the video but then the affects started to add up. Fortunately I am not at the advanced stage of coffee loving that you are but I had added it to my diet recently and I think I will just cut it out. The un-expected affect on blood sugar and the additional cortisol explains a few things.
I was gonna switch to tea but realized that is still caffeine.
Can't us fat people get anything we like?

I have decided I need to give up my coffee... for awhile. I feel like i havent lost enough, and am really examining my drinking- I have allowed myself to use real cream in my coffee (one Tablspoon measured if at home but if out and the coffee is strong I have used up to 4 creamers or 40 calories... though that is not often and it is counted and logged) and have been drinking a green tea Matcha latte made with almond milk ...45 calories.... but no protein in either one of those... so 100 extra calories a day I dont need (some days I have 2 cups of coffee). Since I hate coffee without cream, and cream substitute has carbs... I just have to keep it for special occassions and not daily. Techinically 100 calories a day is 1 pound of weight every 35 days.... so if that is what it is.....it shouldnt account for more than a few pounds of weight, but I dont know if its that scientific. maybe the cortisol levels etc explain it! I may just be in my typical stall... I stall then lose 10, then stall....
but doggoneit....Im looking at every bite and this is the only "off plan" thing I am doing...so it must go! Tighten the reins again and see if it makes a difference.
Yes, some days it feels like "us fat people cannot have anything"... at least not until maintinence... and then I think we get little baby things like my coffee cream in moderation.
I swear too- working out has slowed my weight loss- did 3 weeks- stalled, got sick and stopped for two weeks- lost, back at it to weeks- stalled ... coincidence??
Frustrating!
My bad days look like 700-800 calories and 40 grams carbs... my good days 600-700 calories, 20 grams carbs and an hour of excercise....
just hit 5 months and only down 60 pounds....(35 to goal of 120)
think Im doing a few days of shakes only again.... I am so over those shakes... but without them I cannot get to 100 grams of protein and stay under 600 calories.'
Thanks for another reason to drink herbal tea instead!

If exercise slowed your weight loss I will almost 100% guarantee you are not getting enough water, particularly if you were drinking coffee. You should be getting about 100oz per day.
You could also be too low fat, for women the healthy fats are more important than for men. You have to find the right balance though. Try adding some fish oil supplements.
You know, Im totally not getting enough water...and Kairk made me promise (sorry.....Im not even going to give you MY excuses... I dont like it, I m always freezing... blah blan blah....) so.... im getting in 64 non coffee drinking a day...usually herbal tea made with water, and a zero calorie sports drink.I will try adding the fish oil too because I should anyway for all kinds of reasons, heart, brain, hair....
I have always been a terrible water drinker... dont like it, never have. Again- I need to plan better.... today, right now- If I put a squeeze of lime or lemon in it I can actually not mind it.
I'm stopping at the store for limes... and bottled water cause ours at home is yuck! No more excuses on the water!

ok, so water is definitely your issue. Water flushes and is very important that in addition to the tea you get some plain or water with lemon is actually really good. I buy 4 cases of water a week plus I have bottle water at home and super filters on my faucets. The bottles of water make it very convenient to always have it with you. As for not liking it, you should try to suffer through 4 bottles a day.
What happens when you don't get enough water is you retain water and water is very heavy per volume. 1 gallon of water weighs 8.34 lbs. So if you are retaining as little as a quart of water (which is not much) you could show 2 lbs on the scale.

Okay.... It's going to be hard but I'm going to make myself drink 4 plain water bottles a day.. Starting today! Ughhhhhhhh..,,,
i can warm it with lemon too though, right??
