Clothes shopping

I have not even had my surgery yet

scheduled for 3/18. But was out today at the mall and all I wanted to do was buy that little black dress size ????? For a cruise I am going on in October but I did not get it. Now I am wondering if I should go back and get it and use it as an incentive? What do you think?

Is it an attainable goal? Don't set yourself up for feeling depressed if you can't get in to it OR possibly you pass it by and can't wear it! By August, all of the summer stuff will be on sale an you will find great deals on clothes for an October cruise (assuming its to a tropical location and not Alaska)

I agree - put it off! My body has changed it's shape in the last 4 months! I would never have thought it!!

1st thing that happened - my legs shrunk to nearly nothing and my flat butt is gone! My butt has always been flat like my Dad's was, but now it doesn't hold up pant's or panties!!! Give me a break! And my thighs are hanging a bit - probably cause I can't walk right now. So I guess my solution to this will be those BUTT panties with the built in BUTT! LOL! Eventually...maybe...

2nd thing that happened - just this past week I've noticed my boobs, stomach, hips, and neck have all changed - drastically!! My bras don't fit - cup or around!! My stomach wasn't in the way when I looked at the scales today!!!! WOW!!! My Hips don't fit any of my jeans, sweat pants, PJs, dress pants, panties, or anything else I try on anymore!!! I have NOTHING to wear that fits!!! AND I HAVE A NECK!! I haven't ever had a neck!! When did I grow a neck?? Why didn't I feel it growing??? It looks strange!!!

So don't buy anything now!! You may decide to go Off shoulder, Strapless, One Shoulder, or who knows??? Things ARE going to shift and change!!! Even when you aren'****ching!!!

I have no advise on little black dresses, but I am very happy digging through the closet for things I haven't been able to wear for years and buying on ebay for what I'll wear in the next few months. Not going to pay a lot for temporary clothes.

I'd vote no!  Because who knows what size you'll be by then?  Plus when you go shopping in September for your little black dress, I think you'll enjoy the whole shopping experience more than having a dress hanging in the closet which may not fit correctly!  Next fall there will be new styles, etc. 

So, I'd say wait.  Maybe take a picture of it now, and use the photo as the incentive, but wait to buy the real thing so you can get something that fits nicely!
