So what if you're feeling discouraged?

Had a little breakthrough courtesy Frisco this morning, and wanted to share it here.  I've been feeling discouraged because my weight loss has slowed down.

His basic response was, "so what?" (A little nicer, but that's it in a nutshell.)

And I realized he's right.  How I feel in terms of my emotions can not impact what I DO in terms of eating, exercise, staying the course, etc.  It just can't.  Letting how I feel impact what I DO is how I got here.  So who cares if I feel discouraged?  Sure, that's not fun, but it has no relationship at all to what I DO.  And eventually I'll feel better.  This, I think, may be a key realization for long-term success--at least for me.

Just thought I'd post this little "aha" moment here in case it helps anyone else.

I think this is going to help a lot of people. Most of us go in this situation by allowing out emotions to control what we do. Thank you so much for sharing. I really think that this process is all about these "Aha" moments. Good Luck! You are doing amazing.

I love Frisco and it doesn't hurt that we agree on so many things.  He is spot on; again.

The separation of our feelings from our actions is a huge "aha" moment.
