OK. But you did put it all out there...the product and the packaging. Both are interesting and can be commented on.

Have you watched the skinny on obesity? It explains the hormones behind it.  Eating carbs rasises insulin and blocks your Leptin response.  It's very interesting.  You can google the skinny on obesity it should show up on youtube.

I have not seen it but I am familiar with the process. I will check it out though. I am always interested in that.

I stopped eating crust when I did Atkins, and interestingly enough, at work events, I was not the only one!  Even when I added back cookies (I love to bake) and fell off the wagon so fast that it made my head spin and my hips expand simultaneously, I never added regular pizza crust back in -- it was just never "worth it."

The only pizza crust that I ever liked post-Atkins was super thin, almost cracker-like crust.  Trader Joe's makes a flatbread that I still get for hubby that is the thinnest crust I've ever seen -- it only comes in a mushroom version and a ham version.

Overall, I have found very, very few breads that were "worth" the carb hit.  LOL - and based on my previous experience, very few "tasty" carbs that are worth the consequences!

Damn, all this over a piece of pizza????   I don't want to live my life afraid of food.  I live right around the corner from some of the best pizza in the world, and damn-it, I eat it sometimes and deal with the fallout.  Usually it ain't all that....

It's not about being afraid of food. It's about knowing your limits and limitations bathe after effect of eating that was that I really wanted more even though I was physically full. That is how I was before and I don't want to be that way now. I have to remove it from consideration in the future.

I know you don't want to be that way now, and the afraid remark was more about the reaction.  Our food brains have a very short memory.  Pizza and your other trigger foods will happen again.  There are lots of ups and downs along the way.  Hopefully, you will be able to reach some kind of understanding with your cravings, put them in perspective and keep a healthy distance between he times when you indulge.  I know you are aware and working on these issues as we all must.

When my family eats pizza, I take a slice and just eat the topping. Usually just meat, cheese and some pizza sause and vegetables. I tried a little bit of the crust (like you) and I felt...not good, kind of full. Also, I was hungry later and didn't want to overeat so felt a bit hungry the remainder of the evening. I know myself well enough to have learned, if I eat carbs, I crave carbs. Sugar is the worst for me. Of course we all want to eat "normal" but now we all must have a new "normal" whether it is eating a slice of pizza or eating just the topping. Everyone is different and must decide what works for them. Thanks for posting this. It made for great reading from everyone's view.  :)
