I think it will be fine. Just wanted to see what folks thought.

My surgeon uses a 40, saying they have less post op complications - based on my short painless recovery I believe her! I can now eat -6 weeks out about 4-5 ounces at a meal of protein and veggies- there is def restriction there if I take one bite more!  I don't know that the size of the boughie matters as much as the size of your commitement to get healthy:)

That is probably a good observation.

My surgeon uses a 36 b/c he claims there is less chance of leaking than if you go smaller than that but I know lots of people on this board who have a 32 and have had no problems!  I am slightly under 5'1 so I guess my sleeve is about as short as you can get! lol

I'm a 36f oversewn tight and barely 5'1. I can comfortably eat 2 oz dense meat and 2 bites veggies or almost 3oz dense protein and be stuffed. 1/3-1/2 c softer foods like yogurt or 3/4c soup. I'm almost 9 mos out. Hubby same surgeon same bougie same technique used but 6'1 and 1 yr out can comfortably eat 4-6 oz dense protein and few bites veggies or 1 c soft food or 1 1/2 cup liquid soup. So it's all in how you use it that make the difference. Good luck when surgery gets here.
