Just do it- throw out the fat clothes
I get the size 5 thing- I am assuming you are still able to wear them, albeit a little loose. I am a very tactile person and there are just days plain and simple I want to wear loose clothes.

For me though, I'm burning those *****es & I'm not looking back. Happyteacher- you get a big ole AMEN from me.
I may keep 1 pair of my biggest size pants just so that I can show friends & relatives how much weight I lost. You know?? Like one of those commercials where the woman who is now a size 10 hides behind her size 26 slacks. Love those... LOL...
I feel that I understand the 'keeping' and the 'throwing' mentality..........and I'm kind of a combination, myself. Yesterday, I wore a dress for Easter that I bought for my 20-yr high school reunion..........15 years ago! I haven't kept all of my 'small' clothes, just a few things that I really, really loved. And I haven't done it yet, but I am thinking of having a few of my 'fat' things altered.............but only things that I really, really love! I've given some away, but still have lots of 'cleaning out' to do. I think it's the same way with our psyches, too.............some things need to be periodically 'cleaned out', while others we need to hold on to, for greater self-understanding, until we really, REALLY 'get it,' before we can let go.
And I think there are many of us here who get that.........that it's truly individual, personal............some of our demons are the same, but some of them are different. So while we LOOK like we're in the same place (the 'fat' outer self) we GOT here different ways, and will get OUT in different ways, too.

So I am very comfortable with my "clothing challenge" and think this thread was a good sharing of thoughts.
