Reflux a problem for VSG'ers?

I had reflux  and took meds for it for years. My doctor said it could go away with vsg or get worse. I had an unexpected large hiatial hernia repair done with the sleeve. My doctor felt I had a good chance of the reflux resolving with the hernia repair/weight loss.The first few months after surgery I had some heartburn , but, constant stomach aches that drove me crazy. I went off my meds for awhile, but, went back on them. At this point,103 # lost, very little heartburn and much less stomach aches. I think the reflux is better now and doctor said  stomach aches may just be a sensitive stomach. I'm pleased with how much better I feel and may try to go off the meds again and see what happens , although I wouldn't have said that  the first few months.
