Lord, help me find comfort without food!
I'm not a very religious person. I do find prayer comforting, though, when I'm scared, nervous, and even thankful. Tonight, it just seems like too much.
We got word that my mother in law (hubby's step mom, the one I ADORE) is having heart surgery on Friday. She's having to have the sack around her heart removed due to it being too thick and her not getting enough blood flow.
We also found out today that MY mom has to have surgery on her corotid arteries to prevent her strokes before she can have spinal surgery to help with her back. (Back pain is causing her BP to go high, then she has chronic TIAs.)
Now, we just got the call that our best friend's father passed away from lung cancer. He was just diagnosed a month ago with stage 4. We're happy that he's no longer suffering, but the families feel like they're ripped apart.
It all just feels like so much at one time. We have so many people leaning on us for strength and comfort, and I don't even know where to begin. :(
I am so sorry that you and your family are going through such traumatic times. I will pray for you all, too. You can do this without turning to food. Look how much stronger you can be for everyone now that you have gotten so much healthier. Embrace your choice so that hopefully you can avoid so many health issues in your future.
Take care
Hugs sent your way. That is a awful lot all at once. Try to take care of yourself in the midst of all this, though. Maybe a pedicure, a bubble bath, something that makes you feel good.
Am so very sorry to hear that you are experiencing all this. Stay strong. Seek God for refudge. May He hold you all in the palm of his hand. Keep praying! It can move moutains.
Always remember, "you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have" Be strong for yourself & those that will desperately need to lean on you at this time.
Peace & Blessings

What you're going through is rough- no doubt about it.. You're a very strong woman, I can tell from your posts but sometimes even the strongest people need some support. Don't be afraid to ask for help like you've done today as the days continue on. We're all here for you. Let me know if you need anything or just someone to talk to. Take care of yourself because if you're not okay than you're no good to anyone. You come first...
I'm sending positive vibes & prayers your way... May I ask what your Mom & MILs names are?
Best Wishes & Lots of Hugs & Some ass kicking if you need it. (I got your back Chica.)
XO,
Hilary
