Having a hard time getting enough sodium- is there an OTC pill for this by chance?

Why not just put salt on your food?

I guess you could always mix salt with warm water and drink that but blech.

pretty sure there is. Long distance athletes often use them. try googling OTC sodium replacement or something... GL

In high school and college the trainers used to hand them out like candy during football practice. Now it seems more of us should have died from that program.

The theory was that you must be losing salt when you were sweating so much when you really needed electrolytes.

I doubt a doctor would prescribe "salt" pills to raise your sodium. There is probably something else amiss. It is more likely you need another mineral that will allow sodium to not be flushed out of your system.

Thanks- I will look it up online.  I was hoping someone could recommend something.  I am always a little wary of stuff like that.  My labs overall look pretty good, other than my sodium is always a battle to get to the lowest end of the normal range.  I do put salt on my food now, but the blood pressure still isn't happy.  I need to remember to put some in my daily veggie juice, but a salt pill would be good if I could just be done and over with it.  Thanks for the responses all!

yes there are sodium tablets. you need to ask your doc to prescribe them for you based on your sodium level.  A couple of tablets could get you to where you need to be.
