Call me crazy...

Ok, every now and then, I get a crazy idea. Sometimes I put them into words, other times I don't. Well, I have several friends that are professional photographers. (Not just "I have an expensive camera, so I am a photographer.") A dear friend of mine does pin up shoots and things of the sort. I started to think, "Hmm...I wonder if there's ever been a Bariatric Beauty calendar." lol I was always told by my family that I was too fat or ugly to model. I'm seriously considering putting this on my bucket list. haha Just rantings and such. Maybe I can get one started and donate the proceeds. Eh, we'll see. Again, just musing to myself here. :)

Actually, I think this is an awesome idea.  Proceeds to that organization that helps fund wls?  Each spread could have a small "before" pic, too.  I have no idea how you'd get it organized, but seriously, it's a good idea.

Exactly! I know there's some groups that donate money to help someone in dire need of the surgery, that can't afford it. There's also several groups here in Augusta that use the donations to help WLS patients get to appointments, follow ups, etc. I have one friend that has already said she's more than willing to do it. I'm going to run it by my support group at the next meeting.

I figured we can have a small before picture, along with the spread, like you said. Then we can have a little bit of info, like how much weight lost to date, which surgery we had,  and a major NSV that each person has been able to enjoy.

Are we talking clothes on or clothes off here? Pre or Post Plastics? Are we going to feature sagging skin and donate the proceeds to someone's skin surgery?

BTW you are certainly not too ugly to model, you are hot!

I'd vote for "pin up" type pics.  You know, clothed, but showing some skin and looking good. :)

wow, nice family you have there...not!!  and your mom still isn't supportive.  jeesh.

I think it's a great idea...tiny before pic in corner, and our new fabulous selves.  hmmm, you could call it "Former BBWs of WLS"...and a separate one for the men "Hunka Hunkas from WLS" .....

there probably are a great number of ideas to be developed around WLS.

What a fabulous idea!  I want to open a bariatric friendly restaurant.  Something with high protein, but family friendly meals, that can be offered in three sizes....Non-WLS, WLS and kids'

I actually told my husband the SAME thing not too long ago! lol It would also have pricing appropriate for the portions and such. I don't want to pay $20 for steak that I can only have 2 oz of. lol
