To eat, or not to eat...

I have been sick as a freakin DOG for the last few days. I think I have bronchitis, plus, I'm not holding down my foods very well. I am managing to drink a lot more, and I have been sticking to my shakes. Today was the first day since Friday that I haven't thrown anything up. The problem I'm having is that I am STARVING! I've been drinking like a fish all day, eating meals like I should, and being a good little sleever. I just can't shake the hunger. (Still on my PPI that's been working for me.)

Could this be my body trying to catch up with what's going on? I'm not munching on junk, but I haven't been THIS hungry since before surgery.

Sorry you've been sick girl, glad your on the mend though. You ight have extra acid in your tummy from all the throwing up which sucks!  I say eat...but make sure it's a protein that way it counts and doesn't add too many calories.  Build your strength back up.  FEEL BETTER!!

Thanks hon. I've definitely got my protein in for the day. I've maxed it at 100 thanks to my shake this morning and hubby grilling up some chicken and turkey burgers. I even managed to get in my baby spinach and a whopping 3 strawberries. lol I'm just going to work on my hydration now. That liquid Mucinex stuff says that I need to have plenty of water, so I'm assuming I need to take in more than my average.

Nice job!!  I struggle on the weekend with getting my protein in, lack of schedule I think.  I have a few more hours so hopefully I can get some in!

I KNOW! I dropped quite a few pounds after my last stall. Now I'm going to stall out again for a week or so. I'm just one of the stair steppers. lol That's just my surgeon's goal though. I'm gonna go for 140 and see how it looks on me. :)

The mucinex could be giving you that hungry feeling.  I know that when I take it, I feel like a crazed crack head.  No seriously.  Think buggy eyes and wanting to run run run run around.  It could be giving you that "empty stomach" feeling as well that we can sometimes get from antiobiotics.  I would just keep doing what your doing and drink tons of water.

band to sleeve revision and loving life!

You do you, and I'll do me

No, if that was the case, I'd know exactly why! My inner fatty screams for attention during TOM. lol I think I'm just trying to get back to normal. Thanks hon! I can't wait to get the gunk out of my lungs. That's what's slowing me down more than the upchucking!

When you are sick you have to listen to your body.  If you have bronchitis type symptoms, eat spicy food with lots of broth and veggies.  I never drink OJ except when I have a cold.  You have an appetite, eat.  If you are sick and don't feel like eating, don't, just get fluids in.

When I am sick with any kind of nausea or stomach problems, low carb goes out the window.  I eat to heal myself.
