Wear it while it fits! A non-problem problem.

Yay you! Now make sure you wear it lots, and check through your other someday clothes. I've been "shopping" in my "shrink into it" drawers for months. I only have a few things left, so am just now getting to the point of needing to shop.

My sis had surgery the same day as me, and I've been cheerfully taking on her stuff as she shrinks out of it. She's at goal now, so that handy source of clothes will be drying up too. (Except for the super nice winter coat she bought last fall - it's MINE for next fall. Lol)

GOOD IDEA!!!   I have clothes that were too tight and then the next time I tried they were too big...I skipped right over that size....

On the other hand, I scored some really cute summer outfits in size 6/8 though I am only a size 12 now...I hope I get to wear them this summer or at least this fall when I have a Caribbean vacation planned...moreover I hope I dont skip past that size.... but for less than $5 an outfit ( clearance rack) it was worth the risk

I sorted through everything I owned and organized it by size shortly after my surgery - and tossed EVERY scrap that was roomy at all. I ruthlessy cull my clothes ever 4-6 weeks and deliver too-big stuff to Goodwill.
I'm not so foolish as to assume it'll stay off easily, but I'm VERY determined to do whatever it takes.
$5 an outfit? That's amazing! I hope you get to enjoy them during your vacation.

Good for you. I am one of those 1/2 price off 1/2 price shoppers and traditionally take advantage of the end of season sales. This strategy is not working so well for me now. A few things I've gotten for next year- guessing I will fit into them are fitting now; the problem being these are winter and fall things and it's spring. By next fall they will be too big. Oh the dreadful consequences of WLS! (Ha!- all my problems should be so "terrible").

My complaint reminds me of a term a friend uses - first world problems - like getting a bad manicure, or having too many choices of what to make for supper.

I've been shrinking into and through my sister's stuff, buying fleece jackets (I'm always cold) from Value Village and buying 3-4 tops in each size as I shrink. The jackets were a fluke - on sale, super cute and in 2 of my favourite colours. Ah well, MANY people would love to have my problem, and I'll pass the jackets along to a local charity.

Yes, try them weekly! Totally agree! I had so many clothes that I didn't wear because I *thought* they were still too small for me only to find that when I finally tried them on they were too big! I had some great stuff I never even got to wear!

Exactly! Hopefully the stuff you never got to wear is being a blessing to someone.

This is too funny and familiar.  I had a $700 custom wet suit in the closet... I tried it on weekly until it fit.  I immediately scheduled a refresher and additional certification SCUBA course.  A month later... too big.  Its all about timing!!!

Yeah, I pretty much only buy what fits right now and just a few pieces at a time. I have my slightly too big stuff that I wear around the house when I don't have to go out. I just refuse to sink a bunch of money into clothes until I know where I'll end up. I had REALLY nice clothes and shoes before. I miss them :(
