Our surgeon committee decided that I can't have a VSG, after all. They'll do an RNY on me instead. This has caused me to step back a bit. I didn't really want to get into the whole bypass thing.

Well, you get what you can get, and with that, I must wish you a fond adieu, and tell you very good luck in whatever path you choose.

Now, I'll be over at the bypass forum!

What in the world is a surgeon committee?  If you really want the sleeve go elsewhere.  It is your body not whoever this committee is.

Why did they decide this? Do you have the option to appeal?

I wish you luck but from everything that I have read the VSG is easier, cheaper and better than RNY.  I am not a medical professional so what do I know?

Good luck on your journey!
